Abstract

|
The porphyries represent metabolic abnormalities usually genetic in origin, that results in the accumulation of porphyrin in the body. The basic biochemical defects primarily involve derangements in the control of the pathway either in the liver or in the bone marrow. In this part, it was discussed the asp3ct of clinical features, mechanism of coetaneous photosensitivity and newer therapeutic modalities.
